Wow, where to start?

  • People all Kinds;
  • Rockyboy;
  • Unbalanced (you got that right!)
  • Professor Darkk, and,
  • SOS

Those are all horrible and incoherent and make no sense at all. Can hardly discern titles, genre…anything. Summer Proposal and Chronicles of Vengeance, are somewhat improved but not exactly, “yowza” still. Conception is just yawn-worthy, both coming and going, but yes, it’s arguably “better” now.

Scent of Roses befuddles me a bit. Not quite backward, but not really an improvement, either. It’s one of those “just misses” covers and it makes you think “if only…” I mean, not fantastic by any means, but…well.

The only cover here that’s kindaimproved (from one standpoint) is the “Peter Pomperfield and the Battle for Grandma’s House,” which seems to depict a battle of garden gnomes taking over someone’s home. The author obviously tried, both times, but it has challenges in both versions. The title in the “new” seems to be an afterthought, which leads me to think that somehow, that cover was either “as-is” or kludged together from existing elements and that’s all the space there was, which is kind of a shame, as the art isn’t awful. Not great, mind you, but…not godawful. The first one was clearly unique and custom, (presumably) but it was “off” too. Composition-wise, I like the second better, except for that wildly jarring “title doesn’t fit here” note, which is bloody hard to miss.

Nathan, I tried to use the list functions here, so if it doesn’t work out, I sincerely hope you’ll fix it. I find the list functions on this particular piece of CMS rather peculiar–neither beast nor fowl, as it were. I’ll push the Post comment button..here’s hoping…

Oh, Naaaaathan, guess what? Your UL function has no bullets! you’re shooting blanks, old bean! (Boy, the places I could go with this line…)

If by “subtle” you mean invisible, yup, they’re working all right.

My fav improvement is “People All Kinds” (or whatever the actual title is): from WTF to WTFer.

I’m guessing the author has anger management issues. “Won’t buy my book, eh? Well, you know what you are!?”
