That control panel belongs to a really primitive starship.

I enjoy how space is tearing apart at the seams in the middle.

It increases the sense of urgency. Buy this book now, or it will forever be lost as it is torn asunder by the cosmic vacuum of space!

WTF is EFD?

Cryptic sh*t on covers is never a good start for a book.

EFD = Expert Flight Deck. You can see it on the instrument panel.
Note: That doesn’t make it better.

Actually, it’s Excerpt Flight Deck, because that makes more sense. 😉

I think it stands for Excerpt Flight Desk. But still no freaking idea what that means. lol

Nope. You and Waffles are both wrong! It’s Excerpt Flight Deck. Which still leaves me at WTF is EFD? LOL

So maybe it’s a book about famous quotes from sci-fi films and literature focused on what characters say on flight decks?

Anyway, that’s the extent of my caring and interest.

Sorona out. ;-P

DING-DING-DING-DING! We have a winner! You have now won a no-expenses paid trip to somewhere in the stars!

But, um, as for what the heck that’s supposed to mean? That’s a mystery for the ages. 😉 Or maybe it’s a typo (and it’s supposed to be Expert, like Waffles says upstream).

Looks like the 80s spoof film Spaceballs. But with worse special effects.

Looks like some sort of guide for playing Space Shuttle on the Atari 2600…too bad it’s 30 years too late.

Love how the authors’ names are, like, really BIG. Guess they wanna make sure you know who wrote this POS, er, EFD…

Okay, yes, I did it. I went to read the description. As follows:

Carrick Publishing presents: EFD1: Starship Goodwords, the first in our series of cross-genre anthologies featuring a diverse selection of stories and poems. Compiled and edited by Donna and Alex Carrick, this collection includes: Mystery, Crime, Flash Fiction, Poetry, Literary, Paranormal, Science Fiction and Humor.

Soooo, I still don’t know what EFD means and this books sounds like a horrid mish-mash of “let’s put in everything plus the bathroom sink.”

Indeed, I’d say the cover is undoubtedly the perfect reflection of what’s within.

What a totally amateurish book blurb; it’s not much of an inducement to buy. “Carrick Publishing presents:” Presents? Sheesh… Gimme a break.
