For all you non-SoCal denizens, this is the “pedestrian warning” sign on the 101 freeway cautioning motorists to beware illegals crossing the 70 mph, limited access road trying to avoid getting caught at the checkpoint. Yeah, there have been deaths there.

Wrong freeway, sir. The 101 ends in Los Angeles. Interstate 5 is the one you’re thinking of, as is Sipesh, though at different checkpoints.
And yes, those signs were the first thing I thought of too.
