I like that the drop shadow has its own drop shadow.

Over all a good start at a cover. Missed by just that much. But the details hurt, like the ground level view that goes clear to the sharply defined clouds on the horizon, kinda spoils the spook for me.
The moon is round. 1:1 aspect ratio. I’ll give a point for that.

I like the composition of it but agree that the text is horrible. The hand in the foreground could have been done better.
Yep – it would be much more frightening with a subtle font. This is horrifying in unintended ways.
$1.99 for a 9,760-word short story? I’ve bought massive megapacks for half that.
