Wow. Nazi German Stick Soldier (SS?). Stick tank, stick go-boom explosion, stick fire, more stick figures. Stick airplanes or stick football goalposts?

I think I’m gonna be stick…

When I WAS German?! How can someone be German in the past tense? Unless the author is writing as a ghost I don’t think nationality is something you can change like hair color.

I agree with your point, but I think that actually makes it a good title. It makes me ask questions: How could you become un-German? Did you lose your German citizenship? Did you assume a false identity? Are you a ghost (as you mentioned, Jen)? Are you reincarnated?

Some additional thoughts…

Cover needs a Stick Wolf.

Could also use some Headless Stick Torsos.

I have to say I kinda like this one. The infantile artwork is obviously intentional, and it does a pretty good job of evoking what I (correctly) guessed the book would be about.

Bottom line: I wouldn’t be ashamed to be seen reading this in the subway. Not that I’m ever actually going to buy the book or read it or anything.
