OK, this is just tooooo busy! What’s with the cartoon rabbit, the key in midair and the baby bow? Are these clues to the mystery or were the real clues burned in the fire?
When I first started scrolling down I thought “Well, this is certainly not the worst I’ve seen” but scrolling down further I thought WTF?! Why is that cartoon rabbit just stuck on there like a postage stamp? Then I see this I don’t even know what in flames and a little bow that looks like it belongs on a pair of Victoria’s Secret underwear. Again, WTF?!

There really should be a tag for what I have always called the “kitchen sink school” of cover design. This is where the “designer” feels compelled to include as many different images from the book as possible for no other reason, apparently, than that they are mentioned somewhere.
