I have to admit, I don’t have a CLUE what kerning is but
I work at an antique/ vintage store in Portland, OR and I’ve
NEVER seen a cameo pin that looked like THAT.
Kerning is spacing between specific letter pairs — for instance, between the “o” and “a” in “Oak,” or the “v” and “a” in Valley.” Poor kerning leaves an odd space between such letters.

The fonts are competent, but the kerning is awful. I read it as “Atoak valley”.
More like AT O AK V ALLEY.
