Leave out the hands, the flying things in the background, the strange lettering on the left side, and I would like it. With the hands gone you could raise the title higher, but the text colour needs to stand out more against the sky. Make it red maybe. And add the author’s name to the top too to balance it out without the hands. I’d say push the illustration up but I like the sky above.

Dragons made out of sagebrush should not be that close to a fire.

Does this remind anyone else of Red Dragon??

I’ll give the central cover concept a vote for bizarre. I’ve seen worse at LBC. I could be facetious and call the dragon Twiggy, but it is really disturbing like a vision from a nightmare. Scrolling. If find the hands with broken strings distracting. Sometimes less is more.

Yeah, it’s too busy with the tree wings. But as surrealism, it kind of works.

Why is this dragon’s insides outside, and made out of trees?

What is the nearly-invisible text, that’s all over that painting/??. Seriously–is this, uh…borrowed? It can’t be. It’s too custom, right? Was this an ARC? Somebody with better/younger eyes, can you tell?

It looks to me like runic font. Or, if you ask the annoying Middle Earth cosplayer at conventions, “It’s elvish. Duh!”

Poor dragon never stood a chance against the giant invisible glass block, looks like they hit it hard.

Thanx, re-imagining this cover as a Windex commercial does take the edge off.
