Well I have things to say. For starters, where are the rest of the dog and the woman? Why are they just two heads and a set of hands floating in blackness? Also the white-ish/blue-ish tint to her hands and face is not good. This woman appears to be suffering from severe hypoxia and is likely to go into shock at any moment.

Something about the look on the woman’s face makes me think she’s about to snap the poor dog’s neck.
At first glance I thought they had cut the dogs face off and were using it as a mask. Now they are unmasking, with a smile of glee that says I will kill you in your sleep.
“Petoony and her best friend find stolen jewelry from a robbery, while hiking. They befriend a homeless man and his dog, living in a shack along the trail. The old man gets accused of the robbery and Petoony and Crystel set out to prove his innocence, after discovering clues from the real thieves. The dog plays an important role in the story.”
Crystel? Did he get the names from a name generator? I’m afraid to know what name the poor dog got. But at least he gets an important role in the story as compensation.

That’s exactly how I read it too. It’s creepy as fuck even if it does seem to have turned out that way by accident.
