Consistently matches the quality of the cover of the other title in the series “No Fool’s Gold”.

Sounds like positive reinforcement.

I’m starting to wonder if you ought to have a “Powerpoint” tag or something similar. Because if covers like this keep turning up…

What… are those things around the dolphin?

Positive reinforcement of the day: this picture has greatly increased my vision through all the squinting!

Wait – WHAT???

“Jack Petersen lives with his wife, Margie, in southeastern Arizona. Having been privileged to get to know the rocky terrain of the western United States, and its assortment of unforgettable characters, memory asserts that exaggeration in a work of fiction sometimes seems a little tame. This book is the second try at e-book publishing, the first having been much too far ahead of its time.”

Kris,

That description (bio?) is clearly much much too far ahead of its time.

Isn’t “the first being much too far ahead of its time” just Ego-ese for “if I’d sent it into the future using a time machine, maybe somebody then might have liked it?”

Yes – or inversely – People of this barbaric age are too stupid to appreciate my genius.

Only the brilliant minds of the future (my offspring) will understand the beauty inherent in my awful prose.

Also – slightly-picky-pendant speaking here – but if you are going to speak of time travel, you must use the proper grammar. Not many are familiar with the work of Dr. Dan Streetmentioner’s Time Traveler’s Handbook of 1001 Tense Formations, so I don’t really fault you.

With that said, your final phrase should read, “maybe somebody mayan likan it fore-when.”

I think.

Isn’t this like, the 4th-5th time we’ve seen stuff like this? Where, out of the blue (so to speak), there are just bits and orts scattered around the image? And usually, some of those crappy 3D letters accompanying it? Do you think that either there’s some website that is aiding and abetting in this Lousy Cover Creation Crime, or…ye gods, is it a person doing this? A….”cover designer,” like on Fiverr or something? I know that this is definitely familiar. Anyone else?

I’m not sure what those things are around the dolphin, but I’m pretty sure PETA is pissed.
