Our heroine is an amateur detective/pastry chef named Kristina Waffenberg, known as Waffles to her friends. Pancakes is her utterly adorable goldendoodle. She owns a cafe in a small, seaside, resort town with a murder rate that rivals Cabot Cove, Maine.
The series practically writes itself.
