The image showing (apparently) a living humanoid smokestack is actually quite creative: I could see it being used for the cover of a horror novel about some demon escaped from Hell coming to wreak havoc on humanity. Putting all this—and a badly placed title—and some kind of vanity award—on the cover of a “small town crime thriller” about (according to the sales page summary) a town being under attack from the MS-13 gang, however? Bad move.

Scroll by quickly enough & it looks like the title is “Black Yeti.” At last, good Diversity, Equality and Inclusion comes to the Sasquatch genre.
