I’d be happier with A.I. At least the occasional odd finger or misplaced body part would be an improvement on this.

and I have very rarely found A.I.that I like.

Books and movies about safety that preach against stupid behavior instead of careless behavior walk a thin line between dissuading their target audience from doing stupid stuff and making it seem like a cool thing to do.

Kind of like the cautionary classroom films about taking drugs that tried to show us the trippy hallucinations. I wonder how many kids became curious to try the stuff as a result…

I’ve noticed that a common trait of people who engage in stupid behavior is an attitude that “It won’t happen to me,” so I doubt these efforts do much good. Still, it might at least help sway peer pressure against encouraging them. If, by the end of the book, the laughing kids in the background aren’t laughing because people are getting hurt, then it might be effective.

Regarding the cover, I can’t tell if it’s really lousy or actually hysterically funny! It would be great in a comic about a childhood well misspent.
