A police procedural should not look like a Thomas Kincaid print.

I hope that they can prove that’s not a Kinkaide. I understand that his estate is a bit litigious.
I can see why the author had to include the police procedural bit, though.
Oh, I doubt it’s a Kincaide. It’s probably just random AI slop.
I generally agree, it’s too easy anymore to copy someone’s style, and Kinkaide usually included water in his images.
‘but copying a real artist does not make fine art, talent does. And AI is not with talent.
Speaking of Kincaide, might we see a LBC wall calendar some day?
That would require me to consult an IP attorney.
Well, no one wants to do that.
Especially at the rates they charge per hour.
If Marc wants to make one…
we did start this discussion with the word litigious.
Depending on the book covers you chose, some authors might grant permission. Not Mr. Empress Teresa or Mr. “How dare you make fun of those fake boobies that I paid someone $2000 to paint,” of course, but there are authors who see their covers on this site and acknowledged, “Yeah, you’ve got a point…” However, figuring out which is which would probably involve contacting the authors, and that may not be a road you want to go down.
This is all academic anyway, because, if you’ll forgive me Marc and Nathan, an LBC wall calendar would be the very last product I would want. Seeing these covers for a few seconds as I scroll by and laugh is bad enough; having one of them staring at me from my home for a full month at a time…that way lies madness!
Amen.
My initial idea was a coffee table book.
How can I like thus twice?
