Not generally appreciated that the Bronte Sisters had an author-brother. I am sure the action of this one bridges the missing chapters between Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre II: Murder is in the Eyre.
If he’s not careful, that gun will slip out and shoot off his 25’…tape measure (unless it’s compensating for something else, but who am I to judge?).
