Consider photographing a Disney Princess doll in front of a green screen. It would look less plastic.
The downside of the new AI image generators is that soon, pretty much everything is going to start looking like it came from a Pixar movie. The upside is that characters and scenery from Pixar movies are a lot better looking than much of anything we’re getting from these cheap rendering programs now. In other words, these lousy book covers are actually going to be significantly improved when all the cheaply rendered covers start looking something like this:
(Also, I’m not the only one who noticed those display screens in the background are the exact same ones used on the cover of Life as an Independent Space Hauler, am I?)
