I’m hoping that this is by Daniel Robert Travis Stephens, and he was thinking that, by using his initials, he could get the casual reader to believe that the first two indicated he was a medical doctor.
The alternative is to believe that someone managed to obtain a doctorate degree without ever learning where to put the periods in the abbreviation for doctor.
