This deserves comments so it can be in the running for the Lousies, but I just don’t know what to say.
Site ads have become obtrusive. Inserted before each editorial comment below the covers. Pop-up page when I click to open a page. (Not as bad as before though.) I’d pay a couple bucks a month here for no ads.
Hell, maybe the author is a Parselmouth. He’s typing it as he says it:
“heart of darknessssssssssssssss…”

I’d say that this falls in the category of “overly literal covers.” It’s called Heart of Darkness, there’s a heart on the cover, what more could you want?

Sorry. Experimenting.
That’s fine with me. Do you want ongoing feedback here about such things?
And for real if there’s a Patreon or such for the site, let me know.
Please keep letting me know if ads are intrusive — sometimes they don’t show for me.
FYI it was only on mobile for me (both times I’ve complained).
Flow the text into a title template and hit publish without proofreading.
Lazy Book Cover.
Lousy too.
I wonder where the missing “of” went? It seems to have run off the cover, probably toting “Conrad” along with it…
