If “I meant what I said” had changed significantly, he wouldn’t really have meant what he said the first time, so there. Checkmate.
I dunno, the updated cover for Dacia Wolf and the Prophecy really . . . turned things around.
I’d say most of these are better. The problem is that most of them also started out so bad that the there’s a lot of room for things to get better before they’re anywhere close to minimally acceptable.
They’re all bad, but some are “better” than their original selves. Several seem to have far too much influence from watching “Death in Paradise,” IMHO.
