My poor eyesight had me read that one cover as “The Demented Dongs of…”. Which the title might as well have been. On the new version I wouldn’t have even gotten that far.

The Rick Toenail thing might not be the best cover over there, but it has come a long way since that horrid screaming goose. Meanwhile, any progress the Turtle Monkey might have made by making the letters bigger and clearer was done in by the paint texture effect.

Wind Rider traded up for good art, but ruined it with the crappy typography. Ditto Lord Ormande’s Daughter–so close!

Yes, they did. I wonder if that was the reason for the cover redesign. (Nathan got the new and old covers mixed up on that one; understandable given that both are right at home on this blog.)
