The Gospel of Mariamne

Given that this is a book about Mary Magdalene at Stonehenge, I suppose it’s accurate, but…

Still a sucky resolution. And Papyrus.

With slightly off-center text: mistake? Bad design choice? I go with the latter.

I will give them credit for lining up the sunburst with the statue’s wreath. At least they got that right.

“Do you ever have one of those days when your arthritis flares up so bad you can’t stand the thought of even picking your nose? Well, not any more! With *new* Stonehenge Brand arthritis suppositories, you’ll be digging for gold before the equinox sets. So remember: Pick Stonehenge Brand, and Pick a Winner!”

What on earth is a Mariamne? I mean, was it supposed to be Maria ‘n Me, and someone who’s dyslexic transposed the letters (and forgot to Capitalize, and forgot the shortening apostrophe…and….)

I mean…that is Mariamne, right? Or M I just losing it? A LBC overdose?

Some (presumably the author, in this case) believe that Mary Magdalene’s name was actually Mariamne. Not that it helps this cover any.

Ah, thank you, Tia. Now that you mention it, I have some exceedingly vague recollection of reading something along those lines a while ago, but quite honestly, I’d completely spaced it. I’m so accustomed to seeing horrid errata here on LBC that I assumed it was a mistake. 🙂

Thanks, Tia!
