Good grief, they’ve certainly got a crappy theme going though, haven’t they?

When did the Travelocity gnome get such long arms?
And decide to go after…

Three books (or more) in this series, and none here at LBC has a consistent, readily identifiable cover theme that links to the other books in the series.
Since you call attention … on laptop with 1280×720 pix screen, click link to hi-res cover, zoom in …
Oh, wow! This must be the scene cut from Swamp People where Glenn Guist rescues a nude swimmer from a loggerhead turtle (but she can’t decide who’s scarier).

FWIW this is a very low-res detail from a splendid out-of-copyright (1891) triptych —
No, by god, it IS fish. It’s the fish that Väinämöinen throws away, while fishing, which turns into the gorgeous Aino, who laughs at him and vanishes forever.
See? Not crazy. Critters in the water. And you’re right, Take Cover–that’s a lovely Tryptych.
The Aino Triptych is available in glorious hi-res detail (5,200 × 2,505 pixel) on Wikimedia Commons with its public domain status spelled out.
And the cover artist choose to use that lo-res image. LBC Lazy Book Cover.

Sad. And stupid.
The theme is obviously how to make lousy book covers in as many ways as possible.
It looks like it should be the cover for “Naughty Santa and the Nymph.”
Did anyone else here notice that there’s some critter, in the water, in front of yon nymph? A turtle, perhaps, or…? You guys see it?
No, unfortunately. My cheap, cheap tablet can not do hi-res. I miss a lot because of it.
More than one critter. I’d say a school of fish.
