So… this is a story about Zac Efron’s journey to be accepted for gender reassignment surgery?
*Checks* It is. (Just not about Zac Efron.)
The initial description looked interesting at the start, the very real problem of someone having gender identity issues. As I read further it became apparent that the problem was solved in 80s sitcom fashion, pretending to be a cousin and cross-dressing just for zany antics.
I wonder if the book is handled better than the blurb.

I debated not saying anything. If this book is supposed to show respect for the story of a female intersex misgendered until her biology asserted herself at puberty, the cover should have shown more respect than using what appear to be stock photos from teenage underwear ads of a boy and girl that don’t even resemble each other.
