For those who think this site “bullies” authors, I hope you understand that covers do affect customers’ confidence.

It could have been called “A Dance with the Fox” or something, you know, less boring.

I like the general concept of this. It’s the execution that leaves something to be desired. It really seems more like a mockup that one would give to a designer, you know?
“Oh, this is kinda sorta what I’d like to be happening with this. A couple pictures, some text, and I’m thinking monochromatic would be a nice effect too. Now, show me what you can do to make this awesome.”
Except that the last part didn’t happen. Change the layout, change the font, get better quality photos, and do something to tie all of the elements together into a unified whole.
Good critique, ASwan; that’s exactly what it looks like.

The cover could definitely be more exciting and I hope it’s about more than that one incident. Though I wouldn’t recommend it generally, maybe add a short blurb. Something like “My life as a female foreign correspondent in nazi germany”. Or something.

Add “font choice” to the list of mistakes.
Great title and premise utterly ruined by a failure of a cover. Makes me doubt the competency of the author, so I won’t buy it.
