Tag - layers upon layers
It’s cargo-cult cover design: Imitating all of the features of a successful cover, but doing each poorly.
I’m starting to suspect that indie authors are stretching out their cover images solely to tick me off.
Not only is the Papyrus font almost impossible to space correctly (we call that “kerning” in the biz), but it really calls attention to itself when it’s placed on top of the focal point of the art.
