Helenah goes from one devastating event to another it seemed. Just when she thought things were going her way, something else would turn up to attempt to crush her Spirit. With help from a few people she met along the way, she forged ahead but was still alone in the world. Hope and fear were her guides as she transitioned from fourteen years old to twenty-one without the help from a loving parent. Just when she thought she outran her past, it would show up like an unlucky penny.
