There is one new cover today that is such a step backward that I would be embarrassed for the author if I had any empathy left.

I have no idea why the cover includes all of that blank space to the right. (Also, this is a romantic thriller.)
Every cover today shows an improvement! It may be big, it may be small, but it’s better, and that’s something!
(I’m sure that my heightened expectations will be dashed in the next couple of days…)
Because we can’t really call them “winners,” can we?
