Innmouth’s Long Shadow: A Lovecraftian Tale
“Hey babe, wanna spawn some half-breed abominations?”
Not just the cover, but the entire concept. (Although the description contains nothing remotely Lovecraftian.)
The cover sure doesn’t tell us much. Let’s check the description:
In a male-dominated world, a few friends try to escape, to find a safe place. A place where your body is yours, a place based on principals. A place where men and women are seen as equals. While most people on earth are suffering, their little community seems to be thriving. Everyone lives together in peace, or so they thought.
Hm.
Well, Amazon lists it under “Science Fiction & Fantasy,” which manages to tell us more than the cover and description combined.
I, too, have tried to do something cool with that typeface and discovered that it’s impossible.
Christian apologists work hard to defend the resurrection of Jesus, despite the woefully poor descriptions of the supposed event in the New Testament. I suspect they could also rise to the challenge of proving that the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella really did transform a pumpkin into a carriage.
…
Tell me you’re writing a book for the people who already agree with you without telling me.
My guess is she left her headlights on. What’s yours?
