The Voynich Deception

The Voynich manuscript looks intriguing. Oh, irony.

Yawn. Sure, there’s a little blood. But I say, who cares? Yawn.

(Wait. Are those little figures holding sparklers?)

Yeah. Anything with blood on it shouldn’t be boring.

My guess? They’re probably be wizards with wands.

Hard to say. But that’s a tad more interesting than the obviously fake blood.

I thought they were human/worm hybrids holding magic wands.

The Voynich manuscript includes a series of astrological pages in (roughly) this style: a Zodiac sign in the centre, surrounded by rings of “nymphs” in towers holding stars. Each “nymph” seems to be labelled with a name, and they may represent important stars in or around the constellation.

A couple of the signs are missing from the manuscript, and Capricorn is one of them. Which is the only reason I can think of why this fellow would draw a version of his own instead of using an image of a real Voynich page, since they’re in the public domain.

Whoops, I meant to include this link. Scroll down about halfway to see the description and links to the astrological pages.
