Why are the horses standing still? Why are their hind quarters tucked up underneath the carriage? Why does the rear wheel look as if it’s about to fall off?
I’m not even acknowledging the spelling.

I am having another “Mother of God” moment. I mean, REALLY? This is simply too cruel, Nathan. On us, and on those poor ponies.

Are we getting what we deserve for hanging out at LBC?

Are those supposed to be horses or four guys in tights wearing matching horse costumes?

Why are the road travelers in a different time zone from the countryside around them? They are throwing late-day shadows while the landscape seems to be in mid-day sun.

How do the paper doll ladies get inside the cut-out house in the background?

So many questions…

The horses refuse to move any further until someone can explain this mess.

I’m not an expert or anything…. but it doesn’t look much like a ‘desert’ they’re in to me… and if they’re looking for some they’re probably in the wrong geographical area.

Long time viewer, first time commentator here. As soon as I saw that picture, I knew I’d seen it before, so I had a look through the costume history books I use to help clothe characters when I write. Sure enough, I found it in one of them. Apparently it’s from a late 18th-early 19th century book called ‘Gallery of Fashion’.
