While I applaud anyone’s victory, I don’t know that a memoir should look like a laugh-a-minute adventure.

While I applaud anyone’s victory, I don’t know that a memoir should look like a laugh-a-minute adventure.

The corner image of the hand rising from the sand is ery powerful and would’ve made a catchy cover. The rest of that gook looks like a college holiday in Cancun with sand dunes from Tunisia. Oy. And let’s not forget those inappropriate font choices and colors. Gah.
Someone should tell her there’s a gulf of difference between dunes and quicksand.
I thought that same thing about the hand and sand photo. Much more appropriate to the subject. Would have made a decent cover illustration by itself. And terrible fonts.
I didn’t realize the main cover image was of sand dunes. I thought it was some deformed arms and shoulders with a flower for a head. After seeing the seemingly impossible on so many of these covers, nothing could surprise me anymore.
