Rogue

From the pasted-together bodies to the non-reflective fireballs, to the drop shadows on the bullet holes, this cover just screams… It just screams.

What do you mean, ‘screams’? Look how relaxed they are, posing in front of the burning building. Oh, this must be the story about that fire in a hotel in Dubai for New Years Eve 2014.

This cover artist has potential, but needs additional experience and a more advanced technique to achieve the level of ne plus ultra present in Dr. Richdale’s work.

On a technical note, I couldn’t help but notice that her gun is bigger than his.

Those are bullet holes? I thought they were gears.

Or those rubber things that go on the bottoms of furniture legs to prevent scratching the wood floors.

I see the building and think of Watergate. I see the explosions and the models and think this is a TNT action romance movie about Watergate.

“He broke in, and she broke his heart. Watergate: The Untold Story, this fall only on Turner Network Television.”

Well, he’s apparently attractive, from what I can see, and she looks like an undernourished escapee Russian war bride with questionable teeth.

See? You’re right. But make that TBS. TNT fave up the romance movies a long time ago. OR, could be Lifetime or Hallmark; those two are the all-time nadir for made-for-TV stuff. Absolutely ghastly. Makes those cheap-o made for SyFy movies look like Ridley Scott dropped in a sub-par movie.

Just a few questions:

Is that title in Bicycle Chain font?

Are Steve and Laura the authors or the two characters pictured?

I’ve heard of people setting their farts on fire, but that pair has really gone extreme, haven’t they?
