At least it’s not on lined paper.

What the heck is a ‘Thores’? And how does one cross it? This cover tells NOTHING about the genre, setting, or plot. It’s just a boring, childish sketch.

It tells you that it involves a rural setting, probably on earth, so it manages to be more informative than a blank sheet of paper. Barely.

It looks more like a photo that was given a phone app filter.

Bingo. Exactly my thought.

It looks to me like a small vineyard’s
home made wine label. Chateau Thores Cross.
It could also be the front cover to a housing
development’s manual.

Reminds me of the covers of old Lois Lenski editions.

Hi, thank you so much for your feedback – I have now had a professional redo the cover for me and I am extremely pleased with the results. I am honestly grateful to you for helping me realise I should stick to words and leave images to others! 🙂
The new edition with the new cover is now live: http://www.amazon.com/Thores-Cross-Karen-Perkins-ebook/dp/B00D1YP1GK/ and I hope you like it – I would welcome any honest feedback.
Thanks again
