This is like a weird quiz game: how many things can you identify on the cover? Is there a face in there?

I feel like I see a face too, but I can’t actually identify any features.

It’s weird, right? I feel like it should be there, but it isn’t.

Look under the “g,” between the g and the e. It’s a face. Not human, but…a little stone gargoyle, or Japanese demon?

I think it’s the uh purplish veil? lightning? kind of forms the shape of a triangular face. Then the flowers and the indentations (whatever they are) look a bit like eyes and noses. In particular there’s a vague nose-like shape between the a and the s, I think?

Although that purple thing does kinda look like a demon, doesn’t it?

You’re right! It looks like an Easter Island head. Right under the g in passage.

I thought that was a shadow of an invisible swan, but it does look like a face.

I’m still seeing glimpses of eyes and noses on the left side, but when I try to focus on them, they’re gone. The more I look at it, though, the more disturbing it gets.

Layers. One more reason to hate ’em.

It’s like a geisha and a nature photographer took turns throwing up on it.
