I notice that the bird tat is facing different directions on different warriors of Ator, there. Anyone else think that it’s pointing to which way the warrior, um, dresses, so to speak?

Other than that, just…why are all the warriors looking down, with their locks falling across their faces? For that matter, why does the one female on the cover have the facial detail of a Macy’s mannequin?

As I recall, the Ator movies included one called Cave Dwellers which Mystery Science Theater 3000 mocked for, among other hilarious plot holes and special effects failures, having a scene in which the heroes beat themselves up to simulate being attacked by invisible warriors, and another scene in which a guy wrestles with a giant snake which pretty obviously isn’t moving.

In other words, if this is any reference to those movies, the quality of this cover is an accurate advertisement not only of the quality of the story within, but of the quality of all Ator stories.

I think those are either griffins or hippogriffs actually, judging by the tails and back limbs.
