I’m with you on the kitten. That’s priceless.

Where’s the family? About to take a group jump off the bridge?

Or maybe the family just ran past in matching high heels, since the lost shoe is too huge for the gal in the background.

I hope kitty repents and finds a better cover to hang around.

“2011 Single Titles Reviewers’ Choice Award Winner”?

WTF? A BS contest award sticker on the cover. Yeah, really gonna make me buy this one. Uh, NOT!

Pathetic…

I do have fond memories of Fawcett Gold Medal Books, but you knew what you were getting: original paperback gold by the likes of John D. MacDonald, William Goldman, and Kurt Vonnegut, picked by a qualified former Collier’s editor.

In a way, bought faux awards stickers let you know what you are getting, too.

If they had simply stuck with the pretty picture of the Golden Gate and dropped everything else this cover might have been doable.
