Y’know, I think that’s a bastardized Big Bird. Look at the body, beneath the distorted head. You think that second thing, going L-to-R, is a witch? I think it looks like one of those generic water monsters that you see in those old Aquaman cartoons–you know, the kind with the pseudo-dorsal ridge spine coming up out of their heads. In fact, kinda like the CBL.
To be honest, I always wanted to use the single hand facepalm, but when I saw this cover… The pose is almost identical, even the guy is bold. It also reminded me of that episode when a ferengi used a brainwashing device on Picard that made him see things. You can’t say it’s not the perfect image XD (and the perfect opportunity to use it).
I see Wolfie, a witch, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon, but is that a very fuzzy kangaroo behind the guy’s left shoulder?

I just showed this cover to my hubby. His first reaction was ‘WTH are those things?’ and the second ‘They should’ve used Patrick Stewart.’
