Ghost

And it’s a military sci-fi thriller. Really. (h/t Carol)

Nice photo.
Passable filter.
Lousy Book Cover.

Wait a minute. It looks like the water is flowing uphill. See how its splashing on the left side? I wonder what it was flowing into before they Photoshopped in all that green stuff?

Other than that, I’ve got nothing. Don’t see anything ghostlike and certainly nothing (not even the typography) shouts out military or sci-fi thriller. Fail

It’s not water – it’s meringue! You have to whip it to stiff peaks before you can successfully fold it into the smooshy grass on the other side.

Um, no. Looks more like the cover for a book that titled “Deliverance”… (Cue the banjo.)

Proof that modern graphics software allows cover artists to create things that are physically impossible: such as, raging rapids that flow nowhere.

Plot twist: that’s actually a waterfall, and the green stuff is a grass-like species of tree. A helicopter is about to emerge from beneath the cliff’s edge. Forced perspective, and all that jazz.

Maybe an army of cloaked aliens are standing there? Or perhaps the overly clone-brushed backdrop is really an army of camouflaged soldiers ready to strike? Or there all really dead and only Haley Joel Osment can see them???
