That being said, I wouldn’t give this cover a second look if it were on a shelf. It’s rather unremarkable. The plain red cover and gold text of Catcher in the Rye is wonderful. But I’m not sure that would work on an unknown book. That being said, I wouldn’t give this cover a second look if it were on a shelf. It’s rather unremarkable.
