Yeah, a potentially good cover ruined by too much of too much. I like the sparkly-face image (though maybe that’s because I’ve never seen Twilight), and I like the idea of the face being partly hidden by a planet earth(?) in the foreground (though Craig’s right about the unfortunate resemblance to a staring-down-a-bowling-alley pose).
Turn down the “More Stuff” dial on this one and it would be decent.

Hard for anything to stand out, or to find anything to focus on. Yet, if you’re going to make one mistake, too busy might be one of the better ones to make. I, personally, wouldn’t call this cover lousy. I wouldn’t mind reading a book with this cover on, say, a subway (provided that I liked the content); this cover I could be seen in public with.

I actuallylike this cover. Only real nitpick is the title type. Would work much better as a “normal” solid color.
The blue eyes are arresting. The pentagram/star indicates the genre.
I’d pick up a hard copy or look inside an e-book to find out more. That’s what a cover is supposed to do. So not a fail.
Not bad, really. I think removing the flash reflection from her eyes and some work on the fonts could salvage this one.
And dialing back the crazy. ‘Cause there’s a LOT of crazy going on.
Looks like she’s getting ready to bowl.
YES!!! That black thing withe the flaming star looks JUST like a bowling ball! 😀
To me it looks more like the magic eight ball of satan.
Or that!

Agreed. I would like it if it were simplified a little, with a more basic title.
I don’t know…I actually quite like this one. Only thing that bothers me is that pentagram, really.
