I don’t understand what I’m looking at. Is that light-colored area between the (MS Painted) blue dress and the suit supposed to be part of her dress? What happened to the rest of the umbrella and why is it not hitting him in the face? And yeah, the two ears thing is both creepy and shows a lack of observational skills.

I think the light-colored area you’re talking about is supposed to be his pants.

You’re right. “Supposed to be” being key. Because it kind of looks like he’s wearing an apron or a light-colored puffy skirt.

Please tell me this is the “mock up” that the author sent to the artist as an example of “close to the ball park”… 😉

Not to mention her neck. It looks like her neck has been twisted. Wait, is this a traditional Regency ZOMBIE novel?

Ya know, I would totally read a traditional Regency zombie novel. Oh yeah, I already did. It was called Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Is this the same dress as in the cover above? Looks like the same color, and also looks like it was painted in.

The woman’s face is the same as on the cover above also — no wonder it looked so wrong there! The two books must be part of a series — maybe the Adventures of Lady FakeDress von CreepyGrin.

I’ve got it — the badly pasted face and dress are intentional, illustrating the “Counterfeit” part of the title.

Is there anything on this cover that wasn’t pasted on? Gaw.

Magnificent! There’s even something wrong with the background behind that dude’s pasted-on head.

It ran down his back as well.

Seriously, people, the clone brush does have its limits…

It looks like Vladimir and Edward went to one of those “stick your head through the hole and have your picture taken” side shows at the carnival.
