I’m getting absolutely nothing at all from this cover except for a vague — and hopefully temporary — feeling of exasperation at the letter ‘U’.

As usual, it seems somewhat morbid to dwell on the deaths of the year without also recognizing the births of the same year… but with extremely few exceptions (I’m a grandfather now!), we don’t know which of the millions who came into the world this year will be familiar to us by the end of...
