“Moutnian”? Because he can’t read the font either! Or maybe he’s an overachiever…

If that’s how the author deals with proofing, I don’t even want to open this book. Because typos in the title? So not a good sign… I’m already crazy enough as it is and don’t need anything else triggering an OCD attack. 😉

Never mind the typos — I can’t read most of the words anyway — it’s the artwork that bothers me. Like for instance, what’s going on with Bark Moutnian? Is it crashing into a planet?
Bark Moutnian? I thought it was Dark Moutnian – where’s the dog if it’s the former? 😉 (Just having fun, because it’s so very hard to read the words anyway.)
I saw the Bark – quit reading and missed the Moutnian. Maybe a moutnian is a planet-capped mountain.
Epic FAIL

Maybe…maybe…maybe the book is about something called Bark Moutnian, and it’s not about a mountain at all? Or maybe the author couldn’t read the font either.

Considering how illegible the type is, I have to wonder if he used actual typefaces at all, or if these are photoshops of screen grabs he did with the MyFonts.com font tester.
What is the blobby pointy thing at the top of the picture? Wizard with a flashlight? Dalek under a dust-sheet? Oh, wait… is it meant to be the Bork Moutnian?

Looks like Bark Moutnian to me, too.
Oh man, that’s embarrasing! And the font leaves something to be desired too.
At first I thought that word was dork not dark, not that it helps any.

Hey! That’s where I live…
Nice of them to leave such a space below the title. For comments I guess?

Looking at this cover hurts my spell-it-right-dammit bone.
The font makes me queasy.

Alas that I too have a book called ‘Dark Mountain’…spelled correctly, if you please. Oh, well.
I don’t think it matters if it is spelled correctly in that font. What is the author’s name? It looks like I.A. Stuff’
I suppose it does at least draw attention away from the smeary mess that is the background under the font.
