This would have been a good cover concept to forward to a artist for a painting or more integrated rendering.

Is that one of those plywood displays where you stick your head through a hole for a photo as a Norse warrior and his damsel? My kids did one of those this summer, but it was a train conductor cut-out. Good times, but lousy book cover.
