Um… that’s ONE diary titled “THIRTEEN”.
Perhaps the idea of a stack of thirteen journals didn’t occur to them. Though I can’t imagine why not.
Okaaay… We got the Arabic number “13” and also an English spelled-out “Thirteen”. Just in case anyone was confused by the math.
Oh, BTW, the cover layout sucks.
So, maybe it’s a trick – Maybe there are 39 diaries.
Almost as many typefaces here, too
I actually like the title font. That’s a first for me I think.

Maybe it is 13 diaries within one another, like nesting worlds.
