See, I’m going with the interpretation that the lady’s the gatekeeper, she just has aged really well to have two sons that old.
I suppose the alternate interpretation that she’s some other random non-gatekeeper person is also possible, but meh.
The layout leads me to believe that the gatekeeper has four sons, one of whom self-identifies as a gate.
