I’m going back and forth on the art. Yeah, it’s not the most professional cover, but whoever the artist is has more of a clue about drawing than most of what we see here. The face has an individual, specific look that makes it more real. To me.
At first glance, the eyes freaked me out. But on the second, I do see some skill with the watercolor itself, especially the lamp corner. The hand is horrible, but hands are hard :(.
But any good aspects of the art were destroyed with a childish attempt to show the fire is bright by darkening everything else. Or maybe it’s just bad photography.

The eyes look creepy. Or maybe she’s just (badly) cross-eyed. And she really needs to get a new hairdresser.
