Is that…is that a skewered Scotty dog, on a stick? (Yes, yes, I know, it’s redudant, skewered/on a stick. I’m going for effect here.)
Or…maybe it’s a pair of boxers? The shorts, I mean, not the dogs.
Lord. This site is literally giving me half-heimers.

Why is a ‘Tango-ed’ Boris Johnson crying over some bubbles in the top-left corner? I can honestly say that DOESN’T immediately make me think ” Ah yes – the Lake District!”

This is the front cover? This reminds me of a lot of lousy book back covers, too much eyestrain producing text.
If that’s a front cover, it’s started a whole new category of lousy.

If you rearrange the letters in ‘CLOUT’ you get ‘LOUTC’.
Or TOLU C – I am not sure what the C stands for, but TOLU is a cleaning product that comes with those “Solvent Abuse Kills!” -warnings. Maybe that explains it? Or is it a recommendation – to accompany reading the book?
That could certainly explain the author’s biography.

That daffodil parody. It brings to my mind the Axolotl poem in MAD, read that at the age of ten about 1958 and never recovered.

Is it me or is this pretty pompous, with the poem and the insomniac comment and all? It’s probably meant to be funny, but it comes off as rather dickich.
No typo tag? Even Nathan didn’t read the whole cover!
Guilty as charged. Maybe I’ll change the “text and more text” to “TL;DR.”
When you have ‘CLOUT’ you do not need copy editing.
The Lake District deserves better than this.
Is carictuaristic a word?
caricaturistic correct spelling
