Why Why WHY do all these authors use headless torsos?!
The only reason I can think of is so the reader can imagine whatever face they want.
It still looks totally lame though.

Ah — it’s about vampires. Somehow that explains a lot.
(Also, I see the cover is partly credited to ‘Carrie, from CheekyCovers’ who has a fine selection of very nice off-the-peg covers on her website, as well as a bunch of custom designs, many of which are pretty good (although some of the text layouts are a little shaky). So who knows what went wrong with this one? Too much customer input?)

Looks like the buff guy is ill-prepared for a shootout — or misunderstood what the woman meant when she asked whether he was “quick on the draw.”
