TBH I’m pretty sure it’s a real name, it’s just that when it’s written in all caps in that font it’s hard (for me) not to misread it.
Curiously, this book used to have a perfectly fine (albeit genre bending) cover back when it was first published. The writing isn’t bad either. It’s hard to imagine how something could start out OK and then end up looking like this.
